Hi, I'm Iju.

My name is Iju Hsu (許逸如). In Chinese, it means "as free as the wind" — and if you say it fast enough, it sounds like wind too: hsiu～.

"Iju" is a nickname from college friends. You pronounce it just like "IKEA" — ee-joo.

I'm from Kaohsiung and split my time between Kaohsiung, Taipei, and Tokyo.
Every dog you see on this site is my shiba inu, Lotto.

I studied Chinese Literature for my BA and MA, then fell in love with linguistics and earned my PhD from the Graduate Institute of Linguistics at National Taiwan University.

I'm a big nerd with too many hobbies. I love sharing interesting things I've learned with whoever will listen.
