In the last episode, Hana finally settled on a theme for the party — supporting young people who are about to age out of Group Home Facilities. Naturally, everyone’s curious: why did Hana choose this direction? She hesitates for a moment, then tells them:

I grew up in a Group Home. Staying in school means you can live there a little longer, but since you’ll eventually have to leave anyway, I wanted a place of my own — so I left early.

[Note: A Group Home is a form of shared residential care under a social welfare model — it can house young families who can’t afford rent, elderly people who need companionship or can’t live independently, etc. Since Hana is later revealed to be an orphan, the Group Home here likely functions more like an orphanage or children’s care facility.]

She does have some regrets about leaving early, given how expensive housing turned out to be. But she knows a lot of other people face the same situation, and she hopes to help them.

At that point, Jumin enters the chat. He thinks the theme is good, but points out that they haven’t even decided on a date yet, and tells everyone to slow down so they can do this properly (Zen: “Way to kill the mood… sure, yeah, you’re the best…”).

The topic circles back to Hana. Yoosung says he never expected someone as bright and perceptive as Hana to have that kind of background. Jaehee quickly steps in to remind everyone that a person’s personality can’t be reduced to where they came from. Zen and Yoosung both realize what they implied, feel genuinely ashamed, and apologize to Hana — confronted with how much they’d unconsciously assumed.

Hana smiles and says she knows some people have negative impressions of orphans, and she’s always chosen to face that with a positive attitude. She thanks Jaehee for pointing it out and accepts Zen and Yoosung’s apologies.

While everyone’s chatting happily, somewhere in a dark room, someone is sitting in front of a glowing screen eating potato chips. 707 seems a little surprised that Hana actually opened up about her past. Then the door suddenly swings open — it’s Vanderwood, here to check on his progress!

707 immediately flops dramatically onto the bed and shouts: I still have plenty of time, I’ll get it done!

Which, predictably, earns him a scolding XD Vanderwood knows 707 has been glued to Messenger lately, and threatens to report him up the chain if he doesn’t get back to work. 707 tries to change the subject — how did Vanderwood even get the door open? He changed the password!

Vanderwood, without missing a beat: Don’t. Change. The subject.
Though he does grumble that he had to bring an Arabic dictionary just to crack the lock — and the room looks like it’s been ransacked.

707: (flopped on the bed, playing innocent) Madam, I did try to clean up a little~
Vanderwood: Don’t. Call. Me. Madam!!!!!
707: Either way, I can’t work~ The room is just too~ messy~
Vanderwood: …………………. Fine. I’ll clean. You get to work.
(707 cheers from the bed)

The scene cuts — and there’s 707, sitting up straight on his bed, staring very seriously at Vanderwood… and the DyXon vacuum cleaner in his hands… and the apron he’s wearing.

Vanderwood: Where on earth did you even get an apron like this…

【to be continued…】

I realized it’d been a long time since I’d written one of these recaps — things have been genuinely hectic. And I thought bilibili had translated everything, but it turns out the later chapters are locked too! So… guess I’ll keep going XD

I really loved where this episode went, especially Jaehee’s speech.
We tend to project assumptions onto people based on their backgrounds — as if being an orphan means you must be gloomy or damaged somehow. But a person’s character and their circumstances aren’t the same thing.

Also, 707 and Vanderwood in this episode are absolutely adorable~
