===SPOILER BARRIER 3===

===SPOILER BARRIER 2===

===SPOILER BARRIER 1===

One thoughtful change this time around: you no longer need to start at exactly 00:00 to catch every chatroom (which was always a pain for first-time players). Right at the start, the game now tells you the recommended login time — since the first chatroom opens at 10:30, and accounting for downloading and watching the recap, they recommend logging in before 09:45.

Still time to turn back XD What follows is full game content, broken down by chatroom and Story Mode.

The game thoughtfully reminds you of the recommended start time this time.

Route Choice Recommendations

Here’s an online walkthrough I recommend. I hit the Bad Relationship Ending twice and am deeply traumatized, so I’m just following this one now T_T

Game Recap (Pre-Story)

When you first enter the game, you’re shown a news broadcast. The anchor reports that one of the twins is still missing; RFA has publicly accused the Prime Minister of being behind the disappearance, but the Prime Minister’s side has completely denied these allegations.

The next story: the missing twins case has inadvertently caused SEVENSTAR DRINK’s stock price to skyrocket, and fans online are posting photos of themselves drinking it in solidarity (?) to pray for the twins.

And of course, our adorable Yoosung has already posted on his Outstagram and profile XDDD

Of course gamer boy Yoosung would join this movement (?)

00:00 Strange Meeting

In the chatroom, everyone is getting ready for a gathering. Aside from Zen and Yoosung (who apparently aren’t at C&R), the others are all working there. They mention that RFA has become so well-known from recent events that people are stalking them, so Zen and Yoosung have to wear masks outdoors now (very topical).

Jaehee mentions that the hottest trending topic in the fan community is SEVENSTAR DRINK. This leads to Yoosung repeatedly egging Saeran to impersonate Saeyoung and sign a brand deal with SEVENSTAR DRINK. (Saeran: No.)

Turns out this gathering is to figure out how to rescue Saeyoung. Two weeks have passed since his disappearance — there’s been no news from him, and the online speculation and investigations about the Prime Minister have suddenly all gone quiet; even the prosecutors have stopped their inquiry. Jumin suspects someone is deliberately obstructing things; Saeran is still working on possible approaches.

Of course there’s also teasing about how close you and Saeran have gotten lately. Zen: “You two have started using pet names for each other, haven’t you?” And if you choose to call Saeran “Darling,” you get to see full-on heart-eyes Saeran and Zen having a complete breakdown XDDD

Zen started this whole topic but even he couldn’t handle how embarrassingly sweet Saeran got XD

The flirting is forcibly shut down by Jaehee XD Anyway, the meeting is to discuss the details of a second Broadcast (or public announcement).

Yoosung is still furious about everything, can’t wrap his head around who’s ultimately behind Mint Eye, and wants to know who’s pulling the strings. Saeran decides he’ll wait until he’s talked to V and gotten his agreement before revealing anything to the group. Also — it turns out V has been missing for two weeks too…

Jumin says that V actually contacted him; V says he’ll be joining the gathering today. (Saeran: Then I need to talk to him. Yoosung: Me too! Jaehee: I doubt he’ll have that much time…)

Everyone logs off to prepare for the gathering, leaving just Saeran and you. After a bit of sweet talk, Saeran suddenly seems to hear a fire alarm and signs off in a hurry.

After leaving the chatroom, everyone gathers at C&R’s office. The fire alarm had cleared out most of the building — no one knows where it came from. After two weeks (or is it two years, really?) apart, they think Saeran has grown up a lot. (Yoosung: I didn’t think you could get even more handsome… Saeran: That’s because I’m with her now ^_^)

Everyone sincerely hopes to rescue Saeyoung soon. The conversation turns to Mint Eye’s leader; Jumin then says: “Unfortunately, based on victim accounts, the leader is likely Rika.” However, since Saeran’s old house was blown up, all the physical evidence from the past was destroyed with it — possibly the Prime Minister’s doing, or Mint Eye’s.

All the stress has given our poor Zen insomnia and breakouts XD

Suddenly — V arrives! He looks terrible. Jumin immediately says he’s going to drag him to eye surgery after this.

V says he has important news about Saeyoung, but first…

V: Before that, I brought a bottle of perfume for everyone to smell~~~

…??????? What???????

And a bunch of people just go along with it, like “Oh sure, maybe then I can sleep better!”

Thankfully Saeran is suspicious and tells you to step back and hold your breath as long as you can. And sure enough…

It’s NOT perfume!!! It’s sleeping gas!!! And the fire alarm? Also V’s doing! (Wait, when did V get this resourceful?)

Remember to pretend to faint at this point~

The sleeping gas was learned from Rika, but has no harmful ingredients — only Saeran has built up a resistance to it, so he doesn’t go down. V is startled, because the plan was for everyone to fall asleep together so he could take Saeran to rescue Saeyoung.

Saeran demands an explanation, but V only says he’s trying to save both brothers and hands him an address, saying this is the only way to save Saeyoung. Then V hurries out, leaving a room full of unconscious people, a pile of mysteries, and a very confused Saeran…

00:00 Please Wake Up

In the chatroom, Saeran recounts what just happened with V.
He’s deeply worried that if he doesn’t go to that location, Saeyoung might never be rescued.

Story Mode: Saeran

Saeran feels (?) Saeyoung telling him everything is fine, not to come looking for him, and just focus on dealing with their father. Saeran is panicking and doesn’t know what to do.

In the hospital room — try to sit up when prompted, or Saeran will panic and not know what to do (apparently leads to BE1?).

When Saeran sees you wake up he’s overjoyed, and he can finally think clearly about next steps. He’s also received word from the Intelligence unit that there may be some issues with the chat app, so he goes to handle that first.

09:45 Can We Trust Him?

Saeran and you are in the chatroom together. Apparently someone tried to attack it. Then suddenly — someone hacks in…

It’s V!!! ???

The two of you ask V to explain, but he keeps deflecting, only saying that Saeyoung’s fate will be decided the day after tomorrow, so Saeran must go to that location alone for Saeyoung to have any chance of being saved. As proof, he sends a photo of what appears to be Saeyoung being tortured (?).

V further explains that this is the work of their father — the Prime Minister. As for how V has the photo?

V: We made a deal with the Prime Minister.

If it’s “we,” the other party is obviously Rika. V reiterates once more: if Saeran shows up, Saeyoung will be released. Then he leaves the chatroom.

11:23 Did She Change?

The unexpected visitor this time is Rika.

Rika: I’m back together with V now ^_^

She says the two of them are together specifically to save the twins, and she repeatedly assures everyone that through V’s unconditional love, she has genuinely changed a lot. She hopes you’ll be able to see her change — though she also doesn’t want you getting caught up in this.

Story Mode: 707

Story Mode opens on a frantic Saeran. He doesn’t know whose side V is really on — has V chosen Rika again and abandoned everyone else? But before he acts, he’s going to set up a private, secure chatroom just for the two of you.

The screen shifts to Saeyoung. Saeyoung is surrounded by two people — on the left is the Boss wearing a mask and holding a pack of ramen noodles (????????), and on the right is his father. (Based on the official video Cheritz released, it looks like Vanderwood voices both of them XDDD)

The location they’re in is apparently ideal for concealing evidence — just blow it up when done. The place was provided by “that woman.”

Saeyoung catches the keyword and immediately asks if it’s Rika. He’s told: prisoners don’t get to be that curious.

Saeyoung: I’m still working on believing that the two saviors from my childhood were the last people I should’ve trusted.

Anyway, this space was designed by Saeyoung himself (feels familiar, doesn’t it?), and he knows full well that if it blows up, no one can escape.

The Boss tells the Prime Minister: Agent 707 is the greatest creation you and I ever made. But his unusually calm demeanor makes them wonder if he’s plotting an escape. Saeyoung denies it, but the Prime Minister says: your escape history means I have to be careful. And you thought joining an intelligence agency would hide you from me? I was your organization’s biggest client long before I became Prime Minister. You’ve probably done plenty of work for me without even knowing it. He then threatens that if Saeyoung doesn’t cooperate, the next to suffer will be Saeran, RFA, and C&R.

Saeyoung finds all of this absolutely absurd. Saeyoung: my brain is tired, can I at least have chopsticks to eat some of that ramen T_T

Obviously no! Even a pair of chopsticks is a useful tool in a spy’s hands. But what follows is… Saeyoung apparently headbutts the chopsticks, starts bleeding, and passes out, seemingly to buy time…

The scene shifts — turns out they’re actually in Rika’s apartment. They have no choice but to wait for Saeran. But the Boss advises the Prime Minister not to work with Rika (her mental state isn’t great, after all).

This is also when we learn: the reason they put the RFA members to sleep was to stop them from making a second public announcement, and simultaneously to spread damaging rumors about RFA online. They can even monitor the RFA chatroom right now. And it all seems connected to V’s actions…

16:05 Rika and V’s Reunion

The chatroom is still hacked, and Saeran warns you that Rika and V can read everything.

Speak of the devil — V shows up. He apologizes to both of you that Rika appeared without warning last time; he should have told everyone sooner that they’re back together. Even as everyone presses him for why he’s still with Rika, he keeps reiterating that Saeran must go and save Saeyoung.

Before explaining further, V suddenly sends a photo — a family portrait from his childhood. He explains that his father neglected his mother, who was deaf, and he was powerless to do anything.

Saeran asks him: is the reason you can’t leave Rika rooted in guilt over your mother? He also points out that the two situations are very different. V still believes he has an obligation to acknowledge Rika’s flaws and stay by her side — he doesn’t want to be cold-blooded like his father. He says, maybe he just never met someone like you, which is why he truly can’t leave Rika alone.

Saeran: She once told me that you didn’t need Rika. You needed a victim of misery that you can play savior for.

Right to the point, Saeran!!!

V still believes Rika is slowly improving (spreading those Rika propaganda flyers.jpg) and wants to keep supporting her.

Saeran suddenly realizes — since V made a deal with the Prime Minister, does that mean the Prime Minister is the one behind all the investigations into Rika suddenly grinding to a halt? V just keeps insisting Saeran needs to come, “you’ll understand when you get here. He has a concussion right now.”

??????????

And then V leaves again.

Both of you feel the shift in V. Saeran, worried about surveillance, decides to discuss things directly by phone instead.

17:57 Rika’s Selfish Happiness

Rika sees you online and joins to chat. It’s mostly to urge you to convince Saeran to act quickly, though you also talk about Rika’s current state and her relationship with V.

Undeniably, she seems a little different now.

Rika: Once you are on the run, you would get to concentrate more on the joy you can find at the moment, than the distant future.

So… she ate yogurt with five strawberries added all at once (???????????)

She asks you not to come together with Saeran.

On the topic of her relationship with V, she says the two of them no longer try to change each other. She used to constantly try to prove she was evil or that she had a dark side, but she never actually thought about what she wanted for herself. She’s no longer trying to save anyone — she just wants to be happy.

Then V apparently comes back with a bunch of groceries, possibly including strawberry yogurt, and she logs off…

19:11 Secure Chat Just for Us

The secure chatroom is finally done. Saeran has only granted access to you, himself, and… Saeyoung. He also traced the hacker that broke into the original chatroom and found it came from Saeyoung’s intelligence agency.

After thinking it over for a long time, Saeran decides he’s done wasting time and wants to move quickly to rescue Saeyoung. He asks to meet you outside the hospital to talk things through.

Story Mode: Saeran

In C&R’s office. The two of you finally get to have a proper conversation.

Before, just seeing Rika used to terrify Saeran — but he’s changed, and so has Rika. So he’s deeply grateful that you came into his life and changed both of them. He also touches on the different sides of himself, saying he’s learned to manage them.

Then it’s sweet time. Because he met you, he has the courage to face all of this and find his own path.

A rare moment of sweetness.

Saeran asks if you’ll go with him to rescue Saeyoung.

Meanwhile, Saeyoung wakes up. The Boss coolly says: wait for your knight to come save you.

(After the Story Mode, Jumin’s dad will call you on Zen’s phone to chat about his love life…..XDDD)

20:44 Different Perspectives on the Past

Out of nowhere, Rika sends a childhood photo of Saeran, and Saeran himself is a little surprised when he comes in.

After Saeran’s mother left, Rika took him in and they lived together at the church. Saeran reflects that his mother wasn’t kind to him either, but he can’t quite say whether he still thinks about her — at least he didn’t wish for her to leave the way she did.

Rika asks him: don’t you think of V and me as your parents?
Saeran says: family isn’t that easy to replace. He never really thought of them as parents — more like caretakers. And no matter how kind the people at the church were, it always felt like living in someone else’s home.

Rika presses further: what would it take for you to think of me as your mother?
(If you pick the right options, Saeran will throw in some sweet talk and Rika will get annoyed and tell you both to pay attention XD)

Rika keeps trying to convince Saeran that they’re alike — both have more than one side to their personality, and both need the people around them to help manage those sides.
But Saeran and Rika are different. He’s found his own strength now.

Rika doesn’t want to dig any deeper. She reminds Saeran to hurry and come, says she can only help to this point, and logs off.

The two of you, left behind, can’t quite figure out why she brought up Saeran’s mother. You decide to start preparing.

Story Mode: Saeran

In the car, heading to the location. Before going in, they’ll scout the area first.

But based on Saeran’s research, he can’t figure out why the location would be registered under V’s property. (Depending on your choices, the two of you might start discussing where you’d like to live someday XD)

Mid-flirt, a breaking news report suddenly plays:

C&R Chairman has acquired a 49% stake in a beverage company invented by Saeyoung Choi.

Wait, the Chairman invested?? But the news takes a dark turn immediately — rumors start spreading that buying the drinks to help orphans is just a commercial scam, and RFA (who released the statement) is being accused of deliberately manipulating government affairs. There are also allegations that Jumin, Zen, and the Choi brothers are profiting from all of this.

Maybe the Chairman’s investment is real — but how did this get out? Saeran is worried C&R has a mole or has been hacked, and if the public narrative keeps snowballing, things will get out of hand very fast.

Saeran pulls his thoughts together: if the chatroom was hacked by the intelligence agency, could the agency already be working with his father to control the media?!

(Then Jumin’s driver calls. Wait — why do you know Jumin’s password? Even his dad doesn’t know it XD)

21:56 Unbelievably Peaceful Chit-Chat

V gives you the apartment code and explains he rented it for Rika. When Rika joins, everyone starts talking about the news now circulating (Jumin’s going to be shocked when he wakes up; Rika: I kind of want to film his reaction).

The conversation turns to that apartment — at the time Rika was still in RFA, but she was simultaneously starting to build Mint Eye.

Rika: You never expected me to bring someone else to the apartment, did you?
V: I had no reason to assume anyone else would go.
V: To be honest, Rika…
V: …you don’t have any friends.

Poor Rika QQ

Rika: What! You don’t have any friends either!!!

V: I do! I have Jumin!

The conversation spirals into what Jumin might have been like if he’d never taken over the company… In the exchange, it becomes clear that they weren’t the ones who decided to attack C&R, but they are connected to whoever did. Suddenly V spots a C&R-related news alert and is horrified it might destroy the company — he tells Rika to log off and go handle it immediately.

(If you call V, you’ll get a really cute little exchange between him and Rika.)

Story Mode: Saeran

The two of you enter the apartment complex and realize the security isn’t airtight — there’s actually quite a bit of foot traffic in and out. You decide to move in tomorrow.

23:05 The Most Important Thing

Back to sweet mode. While you rest, Saeran slips out to scout the area. He finds one floor that looks suspicious — no visible interior, no way to see inside. The people coming and going appear to be businessmen in their twenties to thirties, plus some security personnel.

Saeran also calls back to Jumin’s driver to confirm everyone is okay; C&R is apparently in chaos, but the Chairman is still going to the hospital to visit Jumin. Seeing how anxious the Chairman seems, Saeran guesses the SEVENSTAR DRINK investment news is probably true.

They both think about how if this does damage RFA’s reputation, all the members’ lives will be affected too — not to mention how complicated everyone’s feelings will be when they wake up and find out V is involved.
(Saeran: I’m guessing Zen is going to yell at me for bringing you somewhere this dangerous.)

Saeran seems to catch some movement and decides to go offline, asking you to wait in the room.

Story Mode

In Rika’s apartment — Vanderwood has apparently been summoned as well. Saeyoung seems to stir slightly; Vanderwood tells him to shush and keep resting.

Vanderwood: Faking sleep is your specialty, you little punk.

Vanderwood quietly apologizes to him — it’s his fault Saeyoung ended up in this situation, but he can’t get him out either.
