Hi! I’m Iju.
About Iju
My name is Iju Hsu, derived from the idea of being as free-spirited as the wind.
“Iju” sounds like the wind blowing softly, and both its pronunciation and meaning carry the expectations of my parents.
“i啾” is a nickname given by my college friends. The prounce of “I” depends on how you pronounce “Ikea.”
Originally from Kaohsiung, I now split my time between Kaohsiung, Taipei, and Tokyo.
Any dog-figure you see on my website is my lovely dog, Lottery.
I studied Chinese literature in college and pursued a master’s degree in the same field.
However, I later fell in love with linguistics and earned my Ph.D. from the Department of Linguistics at National Taiwan University.
I have diverse interests. I especially enjoy sharing interesting new knowledge and fun content with others.
I currently work as a UX Researcher at ShopBack.
I’ve also worked as a part-time lecturer at the Language Teaching Center of Da-Tong University and as a contract editor at the Center for Natural Sciences and Sustainable Development Studies.
I served as the project director for the “Knowledge is Fun” podcast, “Kidault Comics” and as a reporter for literary and artistic articles at Mirror TV. Additionally, I hosted and managed the “Linguistics is Fun” podcast and managed social media content.
